Xiang Hua
Chinese Martial Arts
Master George Lawrence is the headmaster of the Xiang Hua school of Chinese martial arts.  He has been
training in Chinese martial arts for over forty years, and teaching them for more than thirty.  His principal
teachers have been masters Jing Xiashi, Cai Xingjiu, Wang Yihai, and Liang Jiebing.  

Master Lawrence has extensively trained in kung-fu and Tai Chi Chuan; and their related disciplines of
qigong (ch'i kung), jointlocks, pressure points, and weapons.  Master Lawrence has been teaching Chinese
martial arts in his own schools since 1975, and today is recognized as a master instructor of kung-fu and
T'ai Chi Ch'uan.

Master Lawrence is a graduate of Boston University, with undergraduate work in international relations and
graduate work in Chinese history and religion. He is an ordained spiritual teacher.

Master Lawrence has one daughter, Nancy, who is also a martial artist.


             
Instructor, Tony Cotillo

Mr. Tony Cotillo is the instructor at the Xiang Hua school in Franklin, MA.  Mr. Cotillo has been training in
martial arts for more than a decade, and is a senior student and disciple of Master Lawrence.  He is
certified to teach both T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Gu Yi kung-fu.  Tony is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, and
works in the financial industry.  He is married, and the father of one daughter.  His wife, Mary, is one of his
students.

Currently Tony can be found teaching T'ai Chi Ch'uan on the Franklin Common, or he may be reached

United States Chinese Kuosho Federation

Xiang Hua is a member of the United States Chinese Kuosho
Federation.  The USCKF, under the leadership of Grandmaster
Huang Chien-Liang, is the United States representative of the
International Chinese Kuosho Federation.  For more information
